Troop 49 is part of the Boy
Scouts of America. Boy Scouts are boys in 6th
through 12th grades who are under the age of 18. Boys in grades 1 through 5
are encouraged to join Cub Scouts but is not required to become a boy scout.
Our unit,
the Troop, is organized into Patrols of up to 12 boys each.
Troop 49 currently has 20 active scouts on
its roster. We encourage any boys in 6th thru 12th grades from
the Clarkston/Independence Township area who are
interested in scouting to contact us about how they can participate in our
Troop.
