Like all Boy Scout troops, Troop 49 is organized into several different groups responsible for the day-to-day
leadership
of
the troop
and its activities.
The Troop
The troop is a group made up of several patrols. The troop includes
not only the boys but also their families and
their leaders. The troop meets once a week with scouts,
leaders and adult volunteers.
The troop meeting is a chance to prepare for upcoming events, work on merit
badges and have fun.
The Patrol
A Boy Scout Troop is divided into small groups of 6-12
boys called patrols, who operate under the direction of
a Senior Patrol Leader. The Senior Patrol Leaders are boys elected
by their patrol and are responsible for helping the other boys
in the patrol. The patrol allows boys to get to know each other
better and engage in
activities that might be difficult in a larger
group.
The Troop Committee
The Troop Committee takes care of the administrative needs of
the troop. It is organized and chaired by the Troop Committee
Chairperson. Other members of the Troop Committee include:
Scoutmaster
Assistant Scoutmasters
Committee Chair
Health & Safety

Charter Organization Rep

Outdoor/Activities Coordinator
